Yard Worker

CAREER OPPOURTUNITY  We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Worker to join our Yard Operations team, reporting to the Manager of Container Yard Operations. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
JOB DUTIES   Verify the acceptance and release of containers entering and leaving the terminal
Perform and update container interchanges into the Company’s computerized terminal management software
Inspect containers as they enter and leave the terminal
Coordinate truck pickups and arrivals
Respond to email and phone calls
Sweep / wash the inside of containers
Monitor refrigerated container temperatures
Prepare inventory reports as required
Maintaining cleanliness of yard
QUALIFICATIONS   Computer and keyboarding skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Previous customer service experience would be an asset
Fork lift experience would be an asset
TRAINING PROVIDED   Dangerous Goods training
