Weekdays

Street, Delta (BC Distribution Centre), BC

• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and containers
• Pack and unpack goods for shipping and receiving
• Use of forklift, pallet trucks and shipping carts
• Inspect all incoming shipments for condition and verify accuracy against purchase orders
• Distribute received shipments to respective departments within the warehouse
• Process outgoing shipments to suppliers and other Long & McQuade locations
• Work with standard shipping documents and online shipping systems
• Maintain shipping logs and properly file all paperwork
• Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Provide assistance to co-workers in stocking and restocking merchandise, and general housekeeping
• This is a physical job that requires lifting and moving merchandise for the duration of a shift.

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
• Enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to excel in a self-directed work environment
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills
