JOB SUMMARY

The Distribution Centre (DC) team plays a key role in providing customers with timely and accurate merchandise and products, contributing to the company's success and reputation for excellent service. The goal is to ship 100% of customer orders every day.

• Operate equipment (Order Picker, Reach Truck, Turret Truck) to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse.
• Receive and unpack goods from incoming trucks and route materials to appropriate locations within the DC.
• Support the DC’s goal of shipping 100% of customer orders daily with 99.94% accuracy through efficient receiving, picking, packing, checking, and shipping.
• Perform all aspects of inbound and outbound processing, including scheduling deliveries, processing paperwork, and handling customer and supplier inquiries.
• Meet safety standards when operating equipment.
• Accurately process daily customer orders, including printing documentation, picking, packing, checking (auditing), and shipping within established deadlines.
• Conduct receiving duties such as scanning paperwork, identifying damaged or discrepant freight, completing reports, and ensuring documentation is filed per policy.
• Execute material handling activities including put-away, replenishment, stock checks, rotation, and ensuring locations are "picker ready."
• Use RF scanners and both manual and powered warehouse equipment (training and certification provided) to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and submit all required reports and productivity logs within prescribed time frames.
• Provide responsive and professional communication via phone and email to internal and external customers, escalating issues to the Lead Hand or DC Manager as needed.
• Ensure safety, security, and ISO/corporate policies are consistently followed throughout daily operations.
• Participate in inventory control activities including daily cycle counts, sweeps, test counts, and month-end/year-end cutoffs.
• Identify and report product, location, or process issues promptly to leadership and contribute to corrective action solutions.
• Engage in cross‑training across all DC Support functions to enhance skills, flexibility, and career development within the distribution environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Related distribution center or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (Walkie, Order Picker, Reach Truck, Turret Truck).
• Current equipment certifications for the above equipment (or willingness to be trained and certified).
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and ability to manipulate small objects.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Problem‑solving ability and troubleshooting skills when verifying documentation against products.
• Ability to work collaboratively and positively within a team environment.
• Ability to learn in‑house software applications and warehouse systems.

The hourly starting rate for this role is $19.25. Many factors influence pay within the posted range, including education, prior experience, training, skills, certifications, location/labour market, and internal equity.

Location:

Delta, BC Distribution Centre.

Working hours:

9:00AM–5:30PM, Monday to Friday.
