JobOverview
Responsible for all aspects of work performed on site, including functions of electrical lighting facilities, maintaining aircraft movement areas, ground maintenance, operating and maintaining aircraft ground support equipment and aircraft handling. Perform and assist in the activities of all mechanical and electrical groups, ensuring services are provided in a cost‑effective manner. Coordinate with airfield staff to support missions and accomplish project operations and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and repair aircraft ground support equipment, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform transient line services, including aircraft deicing.
- Perform aircraft ground handling.
- Handle aircraft cargo using forklifts.
- Repair heavy truck and equipment mechanical and electrical systems.
- Operate, maintain, and repair aircraft loaders and forklifts.
- Operate, maintain, and repair heavy equipment for snow and ice removal and grounds maintenance.
- Maintain electrical lighting and NAVAID systems.
- Post and maintain aircraft NOTAMS.
- Post and maintain flight plans, weather information and other aircraft flight information.
- Perform aircraft emergency procedures.
- Enforce and perform BASH/WASH programs.
- Comply with Haz‑Mat programs and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by AR 95‑2 and associated regulations and programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical knowledge of light and heavy equipment.
- Minimum of three years of related aviation mechanical or general mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to operate as an integral member of a dedicated team of maintenance professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Familiarity with Windows operating system and associated programs.
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level per contract requirement.
- Ability to successfully pass background checks and/or drug tests required on the contract.
