The Surface Operatorreports to the Surface Operations Supervisor , and the primary role isto operatevariousheavy and lightsurfaceequipment to maintain surface conditions,roadsand site facilities such as the dry stack.

• Unloading of tractor trailer delivery trucks and knowledgeable of equipment load limits as well as load charts
• Safely and efficiently operate large and small equipment such ashaul trucks, loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, forklifts, bobcats, fuel wagon, water truck andsmall loaders.
• Fuelling static equipment such as heaters.
• Construction and maintenance of surface haul roads,laydownsand parking areas.
• Construction and maintenance of drystack facility.
• Haul mineralised ore and waste between mining and processing operations.
• Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard ’s, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident reporting
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas.
• Other duties as required.

• Current Driver's License
• Experience operating small and heavy equipment in a construction or mining setting.
• Ability to pass a background check and post-offer physical
• Computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite
• Good communication; radio skills

• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.

Working a 14 day on, 14 day off rotating schedule up to 12.0 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi-Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
