Detailed OverviewProvides patient care services related to respiratory therapy by performing diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to respiratory therapy. Performs pulmonary diagnostic tests and provides processed data for interpretation by medical staff. Participates in and provides in-service education sessions in relation to respiratory therapy.
ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). One year recent related experience in an acute care setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
