Overview
Crossroads Senior Living is currently looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) that are also QMAP (or willing to QMAP) for our Memory care community located in Delta, Colorado. We are looking for full‑time overnight shift (10 pm‑6 am). Qualified individuals must be able to pass a drug and background check and have experience working with dementia/Alzheimer's disease. First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Must have weekend availability.
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting with daily living activities. CNA’s work closely with residents in a respectful manner by providing assistance in a dignified, trusting environment.
QMAP TrainingCrossroads will pay for Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) training and test for qualified candidates (must be repaid if leave employment prior to 6 months). A QMAP is responsible for accurate and precise administration of medication to residents in a fast‑paced environment, working closely with residents in a respectful manner.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform resident care with an awareness of dignity and individuality.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas within Crossroads facility, including equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for resident care as defined by Crossroads Management and the Resident Services Director.
- Answer emergency and routine calls via the pendant call system.
- Serve as a team member in the preparation, set‑up, and serving in the dining room.
- Make beds and check resident rooms for trash and soiled laundry.
- Notify supervisory personnel of any situation pertaining to quality customer service, safety, productivity, security, or any other situation in the building that may have an adverse effect.
- Demonstrate understanding of care terminology and equipment, and aid residents in all facets of daily living.
- Document codes using iPad.
- Must be 18 years of age, in accordance with Federal Law and Standards.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing.
- Passionate about working in an elderly community and exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the department.
- Ability to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effectively communicate with staff and elderly residents.
- Ability to read, understand and follow through with verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and processes.
- Must meet a required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policies.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.
- Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear.
- Ability to lift 30‑50 pounds.
- Medium physical strength required to perform work.
