Staff Pharmacist – Walmart
Position Summary:
A Staff Pharmacist at Walmart is at the forefront of patient communications, listening to and building relationships with healthcare seekers. You will provide comprehensive patient care, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling patients, and administering immunizations. You will also engage in community outreach, support health initiatives, and lead by example as a pharmacy staff leader.
Base Pay Range: $98,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Advocate patient‑centered care, adapting to a diverse patient base and removing barriers to health.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in patient care—counseling patients, processing prescriptions, and administering immunizations.
- Pursue community involvement and participate in outreach events, including Wellness Days.
- Understand the business, from inventory control to cost savings and compliance.
- Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches, ensuring concerns are resolved.
- Use tools, data, and personal conversations to understand your community and stay up to date on emergent health issues.
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, maintaining confidentiality and controlling medication records.
- Demonstrate up‑to‑date expertise, providing expert advice and guidance to others and improving action plans.
- Support implementation of business solutions, building relationships with stakeholders and monitoring progress.
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting ethics and integrity in all processes.
- Ensure compliance with legal policies, implementing loss prevention and safety controls, and overseeing quality assurance reviews.
- Create a culture of patient safety and accuracy, communicating clear expectations and holding others accountable.
- Act with integrity, maintaining the highest standards of ethics, and fostering a regenerative company culture.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results, balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities, and making data‑based decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm
D degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP). - Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
- Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).
