Overview

The housekeeper provides and maintains a safe and sanitary environment for all residents.

• Provides and maintains a safe and sanitary environment for self, residents and others
• Must maintain cleanliness of all residents’ apartments as well as the common areas and hallways of facility
• Walks-through and maintains model apartments on a daily basis
• Assists in providing laundry service for residents as indicated and required
• Responds to requests in a positive and cooperative manner
• Makes effective recommendations to the supervisor regarding housekeeping, laundry, and other resident related issues as they arise
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must demonstrate a compassionate interest in meeting resident needs
• Able to read and follow instructions
• Able to safely handle toxic products
• Effectively communicates with staff and residents
• Experience in housekeeping and laundry services preferred
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must enjoy working with seniors
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, grasp, handle, kneel, pull, push, stoop, squat, twist and transfer
• Frequently required to lift 50 pounds
• Frequently required to talk and hear
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
