Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

American Traveler is hiring a Registered CT Technologist for a weekend shift assignment requiring ARRT(CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• ARRT(CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology training program
• Must be able to move and lift patients and equipment ranging from 40-250 lbs with assistance
• Manual dexterity required to start an IV
• Ability to verbally communicate with patients and respond to equipment alarms

• Performs X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including OR coverage
• Operates CT scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes
• Positions and immobilizes patients using supportive devices per Radiologist protocols
• Administers oral and/or IV contrast media as ordered
• Enters scan parameters such as slice thickness and scan time into scanner computer
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via intercom and control room window
• Weekend shift schedule:
  Saturday, Sunday, Monday 3x12s
• Responsible for Quality Control within the CT area
• Assists in performing special procedures and administering contrast media
• Transports patients according to physical ability and exam requirements
• Maintains records and cleans exam rooms following each procedure
• Restocks linens and supplies as needed
• Practices sterile technique and Universal Precautions
