This is a full-time, salary, exempt position working Sunday through Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am; flexible hours

What You Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field of study and two (2) plus years’ experience in child welfare or related field preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills to successfully perform in this role.
  • Supervisory experience and program oversight in a residential setting preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bilingual English and Spanish written and verbal communication is required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse range of audiences and settings
  • Must have a fundamental love for children
  • Must possess a strong sense of personal authority, maturity and the integrity for a positive influential role with youth and staff
  • Crisis Intervention and de‑escalation experience preferred
  • Experience with at‑risk children
  • Strong supervision, administration, and team building skills
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of ethnical, racial, socioeconomic and religious individuals and/or groups
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and practice good time management
  • Ability to completely understand and maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and safety procedures
  • Understanding, knowledge & empathy of domestic violence and sexual assault issues, among others
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and mediation
  • Primary Point of Contact while on duty or within designated on‑call times and will adhere to following program policies and procedures in managing emergencies as they arise.
  • Maintains the availability to work flexible hours outside of 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd shift including evenings, weekends and holiday hours to ensure direct care staff have training needs met and support during all shifts.
  • Ensures that the staff to resident ratio is strictly followed and consistent with the agency policy and ORR requirement.
  • Ensure line of sight and sound supervision of DCF and ORR standards are maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of health and safety standards through weekly on‑site inspections.
  • Plan and provide for the safe transportation of youth to various activities that may include, but not limited to outings, court/legal appointments, meals out, medical appointments, etc.
