Barton Malow is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager for a construction project located in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role will assume the responsibility of overseeing the comprehensive management of the project from pre‑construction through to final closeout, ensuring safe and timely completion within the design and budget limits.
Procurement- Develop bidders list and analyze information in CPS, identifying local market capabilities
- Create overall bidding strategy for the project
- Distribute bidding documents and track bidders, including solicitation and CPS data management
- Organize and conduct pre‑bid meetings
- Develop and mentor on work scopes
- Create front‑end bidding documents aligned with owner contract requirements
- Receive, evaluate bids, and conduct post‑bid reviews
- Write subcontracts, ranging from standard to complex professional services or design‑assist
- Initiate complex project schedule, creating activities and logic with minimal assistance
- Develop site logistics plans in collaboration with superintendent
- Set up multi‑element cash flow and manpower projections at varying project stages
- Prepare constructability reviews to assess document completeness
- Review pre‑construction estimates for scope gaps
- Set up jobsite, including trailer mobilization and staff arrangement
- Establish and oversee site safety plan, fostering a safety culture
- Ensure punch‑list process completion in a timely manner
- Assist with labor relations and union interactions
- Implement emergency crisis procedures and staff training
- Coordinate mechanical/electrical overhead or BIM process
- Create and manage general conditions budget; monitor and update monthly
- Establish non‑reimbursables per contract interpretation, minimizing usage
- Set up trade budget structure and log in Prolog
- Review others’ budget entries and verify report accuracy
- Monitor project costs and change‑management effectiveness
- Oversee creation of cost items in Prolog and contractor issuance
- Assist with processing changes to owner agreements
- Support site cash management, monitoring profitability and payment timeliness
- Facilitate project team meetings
- Supervise and mentor project and jobsite staff
- Ensure RFIs and submittals processed appropriately by engineering staff
- Implement office procedures, filing, documentation, and archiving
- Manage agency acceptance of the project, serving as interface to code officials
- Seek repeat and new business sales opportunities
- Respond to RFPs and prepare presentations for new projects
- Communicate needs with architects/engineers on site
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
- 8+ years experience in GC/CM Construction Management
- Healthcare construction experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
