To enable each student to pursue his/her education smoothly and completely in the absence of his/her regular teacher.

• Report in a timely manner to the designated administrative office upon arrival at the school site.
• Review all plans and schedules provided by the supervisor for the teaching day.
• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teach the lessons outlined in the substitute teacher’s plan prepared by the absent teacher or School Director.
• Consult with the School Director or supervisor before initiating any procedures not specified in the plan.
• Oversee student behavior in assigned classes and supervisory duties.
• Report on the day’s activities at the end of each teaching day as per school routines.
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the School Director.

• High School Diploma, Associate Degree, or higher, or as required by local regulation from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work politely and friendly with parents, students, and staff.
• Experience or training working with “at-risk” students is preferred.
• Experience in conflict resolution is a plus.
