LPN​/RN Unit Manager

Overview

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate LPN/RN Unit Manager to lead our nursing team. In this vital leadership role, you’ll ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a positive and supportive environment for staff and residents alike. The position is located in Deltona, Florida, and requires full-time day shift coverage.

• Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to maintain exceptional care standards and efficient staffing.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while managing schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Address and resolve personnel concerns while promoting teamwork and staff satisfaction.
• Provide hands‑on training, evaluate nursing competencies, and encourage professional growth.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) documentation.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and the care team on discharge planning and overall care coordination.
• Represent the nursing department in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to facility-wide quality improvement initiatives.

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of Florida.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
