RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday

• On-call responsibilities up to 15 days per month

• New Mexico RN licensure required

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in critical care or surgical services

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in operating room patient care

• Work as member of surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel

• Ensure adequate supplies and timeliness of surgical cases

• Communicate with patient families during surgical procedures

• Update and maintain physician preference cards

• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases

• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in operating room environment

• Provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and regulatory requirements

• Follow physician orders and hospital/surgical department policies and procedures
