- High school graduate or equivalent AND
- Successful completion of at least two years (48 semester hours or 60 quarter hours) of study at an institution of higher education, OR
- An Associate's Degree documented on an official transcript from an accredited institution of higher education, OR
- Passed the Work Keys Assessment with a minimum of Level 3 scores on the following tests:
Applied Math, Workplace Documents, and Business Writing - Must produce a valid TB Skin Test and complete background clearance
Experience is preferred, but not required, and is only one factor when considering applicants.
Applicant must have a compassion for all children, and demonstrate tolerance and concern for differences among all people. Applicant needs to have a strong desire and will to teach, a strong belief that all students can learn, and the will and ability to follow procedures and handle paperwork in an efficient manner. Applicant should also possess computer skills, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate and get along well with others.
