Foster Poultry Farms is always looking for talented individuals to join the Foster Poultry Farms Team.
The Fryer Machine Operator is responsible for preparing the setup/ take down of corndog fryers to meet daily production schedule. This position must maintain fryers in an efficient‑operating manner by maintaining oil level, supply sticks to machines, and keep batter tank and fryer clean while maintaining acceptable quality, productivity, and safety standards. This role works closely with the department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members, in order to accomplish accuracy within the processing department and to ensure that our customers receive quality products.
This position executes processes that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting Foster Poultry Farms’ mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles:

- Maintain fryers in an efficient‑operating manner.
- Maintain oil level, supply sticks to machine and keep corndog batter clean.
- Prepare setup/take down of corndog fryers to meet daily production schedule.
- Don proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor.
- Must be able to withstand a cold (40‑48 degree) environment.
- Must be able to withstand a hot (80+ degree) environment.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace work environment.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E‑verify.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate with all levels including management.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Decision making ability for the flagging of deviation from procedures.
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and clean up preferred.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for their coworkers.
- Must be able to safely operate forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Must wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
