The LSA role involves direct support for students, who present with a range of additional needs, including language and literacy difficulties, and social communication challenges.

Support is provided both within the classroom and through targeted withdrawal sessions, in close partnership with classroom teachers and the AEN team.

  • An ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as being able to contribute as part of a large team; you'll be keen to get involved with extra-curricular activities and the school’s wider community;

  • Strong planning, organisation, and record-keeping skills; experience with a range of ICT applications, such as Outlook and Excel;

  • A flexible approach to work, a good sense of humour and positive response to change;

  • A good knowledge of the British National Curriculum;

  • Experience working with children and young people aged 11-18.
