Description
Leidos is looking for a Mid-Test engineer to support the Integration and Test (I&T) team within our international team in The Hague, Netherlands, in support of the NATO Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) Systems Engineering & Integration and Test (SEIT) contract. The role involves supporting the Engineering Lead to lead and perform project test and exercise related activities, participating in the execution of tests and exercises of varying scope and complexity, maintaining project schedules, estimating test efforts, working with systems engineering tools, and interfacing with customers, users, product developers, and other stakeholders.
Travel is expected to be about 20%.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the Engineering Lead to lead and perform project test and exercise related activities.
Participate and support the execution of tests and exercises of varying scope and complexity, as determined by the Engineering Lead and approved by the NATO customer.
Maintain project schedules, estimate test efforts, work with systems engineering tools, and interface with customers, users, product developers, and other stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college, and 8 years’ experience in systems engineering and integration; or a Master’s Degree and 5 years’ experience.
Must have a current active NATO Secret level security clearance.
High ability in speaking, writing, and understanding English is essential. All on-site work will be conducted in English. All personnel working on-site shall have a minimum required level of English language of SLP
2222 as defined in NATO STANAG 6001.
Demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic, works well within an engineering team, is mission oriented, and takes personal pride in work.
Understanding and familiarity of the BMD domain.
Experience in communication requirements verification such as JREAP, DIS, HLA.
Ability to perform detailed analysis using a variety of tools.
Experience with allocating requirements to test, developing test plans, test cases, architectures and test procedures.
Experience with performing tests and collecting test results.
Experience with performing analysis of test results.
Experience in communicating readiness statuses and briefing post-mission results to customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the NATO BMD architecture and test activities.
Experience in the configuration of operational networks within the BMD and/or IAMD domain.
Experience in verifying requirements on an operational architecture/domain.
