Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer Mechanical to join their Airports unit. In this role, you will play a key part throughout the entire design process, acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients while supporting project managers in communicating design strategies and progress.
You will be responsible for advising clients across all phases of the design trajectory, ensuring clear alignment between technical solutions and project goals. You will maintain close contact with external design partners, contractors, and key stakeholders, including end users. Your ability to build strong relationships will allow you to be involved in projects from an early stage.
You will contribute to high-profile and technically challenging projects, such as the sustainable redevelopment of airport terminals using advanced energy systems, the design of critical operational facilities with strict environmental and reliability requirements, and various climate control solutions in complex, high-traffic environments. These projects offer continuous variety and opportunities for professional growth.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately 24 professionals, including project managers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and airport systems specialists. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and personal development. With projects spanning both national and international airports, no two days are the same.
What do you need- Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HTS or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in mechanical design within project-based environments / background in engineering company
- Knowledge of innovative and sustainable building services systems
- Experience with Revit, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of fire safety systems and building control/automation systems
- Experience with airport or hospital projects is an strong advantage
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent command of English;
Dutch proficiency is a plus
