Senior Project Engineer

Location: The Hague

We are looking for a skilled  Interface Project Engineer  with a minimum of 8 years of experience to support complex multidisciplinary projects in the Dutch energy sector. The role involves managing technical and organizational interfaces across offshore and/or onshore projects, including renewable (e.g., offshore wind, hydrogen) and non-renewable developments.

The successful candidate will ensure effective coordination between engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders, contributing to safe, efficient, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, EPC contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Develop, implement, and maintain Interface Management Plans and Interface Registers.

Identify, track, and resolve interface issues, risks, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Act as the focal point for all interface-related communication.

Organize and lead interface meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.

Ensure alignment with project scope, technical requirements, and Dutch/international standards.

Support project planning by highlighting interface constraints and integration risks.

Collaborate closely with project managers, package managers, and discipline leads.

Ensure proper documentation and reporting in line with project and client requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or similar).

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in interface engineering or project engineering roles.

Proven experience in multidisciplinary offshore and/or onshore projects.

Experience in energy projects (offshore wind, oil & gas, hydrogen, infrastructure, etc.).

Familiarity with Dutch regulations, standards, and permitting processes is a strong advantage.

Experience working with EPC/EPCI contractors and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English (Dutch is highly preferred).

Eligible to work in the Netherlands (EU passport or valid work permit).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in offshore wind projects in the North Sea.

Knowledge of systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, Teamcenter, or similar.

Understanding of HSE standards and practices within the Dutch energy sector.

Experience working in international and multicultural teams.

Strong coordination and organizational skills
