Assistant Project Manager – Shipbuilding | South Holland, Netherlands
The Offshore Partners is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager with a strong background in shipbuilding to support one of our clients on a challenging and high‑profile maritime project in the Netherlands.
About the Role
As Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing technical work scopes throughout the project lifecycle. You will evaluate the impact of technical decisions on planning, costs, risks and project execution, while ensuring the successful integration of onboard systems and mission equipment.
Working closely with engineering teams, planners, subcontractors and project stakeholders, you will help ensure that technical changes are effectively communicated, coordinated, and implemented.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate technical work scopes within the project
Assess the impact of technical changes on planning, costs and project risks
Support the integration of onboard systems and mission equipment
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
Monitor progress, identify potential conflicts, and contribute to timely project delivery
Act as a bridge between engineering, planning and project teams
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in shipbuilding, maritime or offshore projects
Strong understanding of project planning, cost control and risk management
Experience with onboard system integration and multidisciplinary engineering environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a dynamic project environment with multiple interfaces
Dutch language skills are preferred
