Position: Rotating engineer Commissioning and Start Up support
Location: The Hague

Responsibilities

Field Rotating Equipment Support Engineer provides hands‑on technical expertise to support frontline operations and maintenance teams. The role focuses on rapid troubleshooting, short‑term maintenance execution, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of rotating equipment during commissioning and early operations phases.

Direct Field Support:
Provide rapid, hands‑on technical support to frontline operations and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of rotating equipment in the field.

Rapid Troubleshooting:
Conduct real‑time fault finding, diagnostics, and defect elimination on rotating equipment during live commissioning activities and operational start‑up.

Short‑Term Maintenance Execution:
Plan, prioritize, and execute immediate corrective and preventive maintenance tasks on rotating equipment to minimize downtime and start‑up delays.

Breakdown Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Perform swift root cause analysis on failed components and implement immediate, practical corrective actions and engineering improvements.

On‑the‑Spot Compliance Assurance:
Ensure all field modifications, repairs, and interventions comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Strong experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments

Solid background in rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines, or similar machinery)

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Hands‑on troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude

Ability to work effectively under pressure in field environments
