About the role You will be responsible for the technical review and approval of detailed engineering reports, calculation, removal procedures, manuals, method statements, and quality procedures/plans. You will be required to liaise with inter-disciplinary teams, ranging from engineering, safety, environmental and marine warranty assurance services on reviews, inspections, and approvals of project documentation. You must be able to plan and organize your and your team’s work, be self-motivated and a good communicator.
Key responsibilities:
• Support the tendering process and review of proposals for relevant works in order to recommend most suitable methods and solutions.
• Support development of documentation for decommissioning projects.
• Assess potential use of alternative technologies in order to reduce decommissioning costs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice.
• Carry out cost estimates for forthcoming decommissioning projects.
• Support development of documentation for decommissioning projects.
• Propose, review and validate lifting analysis, global temporary in-place analysis, motion & transport analysis, sea fastening design, towing and anchoring analysis in line with appropriate codes and standards.
• Review initial installation documents, including; topside and jackets weights, in-service history and modifications (major and minor), review manufacturer data sheets, plot plans, and offshore weight verification surveys.
• Review topside and jacket integrity reports for decommissioning projects.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders and align expectations.
Your Qualifications MSc or BSc Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical or Offshore Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
Ideally proven experience as a Structural Engineer dealing with structural integrity, and decommissioning of offshore platforms.
Good commercial acumen.
Communicative and able to lead and guide (engineering) teams.
Having worked offshore during project execution.

This position is responsible for the engineering of dismantling operations of offshore platforms as well as assisting in the preparation and removal of major onshore and subsea items. You will be working in our office in the South of Holland as well as from home.
