Do you want to work on innovative energy solutions for hyperscale data centers across Europe?  Are you a practically minded engineer with strong communication skills? Then this is your opportunity to join Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a Low Voltage System Engineer!

About the Role
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and configuring low voltage switch gear (Sivacon S8) for our data center customers in the EMEA region. You will work in a close‑knit team of experienced engineers and take ownership of the entire process: from design to factory testing and customer interaction during Factory Acceptance Tests. You will see the direct results of your work – from concept to physical panels.

Our team consists of 24 colleagues, including 14 system engineers. Together, we deliver complex projects for international clients. The work is challenging and fast‑paced but highly rewarding. You will be part of a supportive team where collaboration and expertise go hand in hand.

Your Responsibilities

Design and configure electrical drawings, including SLDs, schematics, front views, and Bills of Materials.

Select components and prepare concepts for customized mechanical designs within switch gear assemblies.

Ensure all designs comply with customer specifications and international standards (e.g., IEC).

Configure electrical and mechanical designs using the configurator tools.

Collaborate closely with project managers, lead engineers, EPLAN engineers, manufacturing, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Investigate and resolve technical issues during design, manufacturing, factory testing (FAT), and on‑site commissioning, including performing Factory Witness Tests with customers.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization in design and manufacturing.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is welcome but practical experience is key).

2–3 years of experience in low voltage systems or switch gear design.

Knowledge of electrical standards, protection and control devices, metering systems, and communication systems.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications accurately.

Strong communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and decision‑making attitude.

Fluent in Dutch and English.

Willingness to travel 25–30% for FAT/FWT.

What We Offer

A challenging role in an international, innovative, and collaborative team.

A competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications.

Benefits Budget of 22.63% on top of your salary.

Extensive training opportunities and clear career paths for growth.

At Siemens, diversity matters. Everyone is welcome, and we ensure equal opportunities. An online assessment and screening may be part of the process.
