Position: Senior Pipelines Engineer Aramis (Offshore & Onshore)
Location: The Hague

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

The role is specific for offshore pipeline design experience (marine environment) with onshore pipeline design experience preferable.

The job holder is responsible for the technical oversight across all the pipeline design aspects ensuring technical implementation into the procurement activities, fabrication activities, testing, offshore and onshore installation and commissioning phases in supporting the project delivery team.

Main EPC packages which require this role to support are the Onshore, Trunkline, & D-Hub packages with key interfaces to Line pipe, Valves & Tunnel EPC packages.

The scope initially covers the tendering assessment and selection phase through 2026 participating in ensuring successful technical assurance gate in Q4 2026.

The role will have access to Total Energies One Tech technical discipline specialists to support technical onboarding of the new OPCO technical specifications and project scope and risks.

Intention is this role shall follow the EPCI Phase once FID is realised (i.e. technical oversight of the detailed design phase, support to procurement and fabrication support and testing up to handover to the construction and commissioning team (significant project interfaces).

The main responsibilities of the post are as follows:

Ensures technical oversight (assure, monitor, review & assess, risk management) of all pipeline design aspects as per applicable codes, standards, and project specifications and delivered in a timely manner.

Technical clarifications raise, respond and close out in Tender phase.

Where derogations have been identified, perform technical and risk-based assessment for guidance and approval. Role requires capability to perform at a technical authority level for this scope. In this capacity, the role shall act in accordance with the technical discipline assurance framework, liaising with the subject matter experts within the partner projects.

Interfacing with other technical disciplines, such as structural engineering, flow assurance and process engineering, PVV (Piping, Vessels, Valves) engineering, technical safety, coating engineering and materials/corrosion engineering to meet project design requirements.

Interfacing with disciplines and delivery team to ensure safe construction (diving, lifting, metocean, geotechnical) and safe pre-commissioning/commissioning is achieved to meet project requirements. Includes but not limited to, constructability reviews, trenching, and burial strategies. Oversees geotechnical considerations and long-term integrity aspects specific to routing onshore and offshore.

Monitors and support interfaces across the packages (include offshore interfaces with the Stores (e.g. subsea facilities, crossings) and onshore interfaces with the terminal and compressor station projects).

Participating to HAZID/HAZOP, PID review, safety engineering review, 3D Model Reviews (as required).

Preparing Project reviews and answer to findings.

Promote innovation and cost effectiveness in seeking technical solutions without compromising reliability or HSE aspects of the Project.

Coordinate with projects (ESC) engineering services contractor once selected in the ensuring delivery of the EPCI technical dossiers within their technical discipline.

Coordinate with the Independent verification body (IVB) to support the initial verification of the SECEs, performance standard development and overall design conformity.

Fosters a culture of sharing and collaboration within the JV.

Lead by example and encourage all team members to accept personal responsibility for their actions.

Requirements

Education:

Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline.

Required professional experience: 10 years’ experience in their technical discipline having managed and delivered projects and engineering studies at least 5 years of which in an offshore and marine environment.
