LOTO​/Permitting Specialist

Position: LOTO / Permitting Specialist
Location: The Hague

The LOTO / Permitting Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and permitting systems ensuring safe execution of CQV activities. This role supports regulatory compliance and operational safety during commissioning and qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, execute, and enforce LOTO procedures during commissioning and qualification.

Lead the permitting process for all CQV-related work, including hot work, confined space entry, and electrical work.

Maintain permitting and LOTO logs, documentation, and compliance records.

Train personnel on LOTO and permitting requirements and ensure understanding.

Conduct inspections and audits of LOTO implementation and permit adherence.

Liaise with operations, engineering, and safety teams to facilitate permitting and LOTO compliance.

Review and update LOTO and permitting procedures as needed to adapt to project changes.

Investigate incidents or non-compliance, implement corrective actions, and report findings to management.

Support pre-startup safety reviews and participate in job hazard analyses for CQV activities.

Ensure all permit-to-work and LOTO processes are aligned with company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years' experience in permitting and LOTO within construction, commissioning, or manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with OSHA regulations, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO best practices.

Strong training, auditing, and documentation skills.
