Senior Safety and Loss Prevention Engineer

Location: The Hague

As a  Senior Safety and Loss Prevention Engineer , you are responsible for developing and implementing safe, reliable, and sustainable engineering solutions for complex offshore oil and gas projects. You ensure that designs comply with international safety standards, applicable regulations, and contractual requirements. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and subcontractors, you play a key role in minimizing project risks and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering activities.

Depending on the project scope, you may take on a coordinating or lead role within the Safety & Loss Prevention discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review Safety & Loss Prevention engineering designs in accordance with international standards and project specifications

Perform and coordinate safety studies, risk assessments, and design reviews throughout the project lifecycle

Collaborate with engineering disciplines, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure safety requirements are integrated across the project scope

Monitor planning, quality, and compliance with contractual and engineering requirements within the assigned scope

Mentor and support engineers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of lessons learned

Requirements:

Significant offshore   experience  is required.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline

5–10 years of experience as a Safety and Loss Prevention Engineer within the offshore oil and gas industry

Proven offshore experience with strong knowledge of international safety standards, risk assessment methodologies, and loss prevention principles

Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects with excellent communication skills in an international environment
