Technical Lead | High Voltage (HV) Primary Systems:
Permanent position
Experienced Technical Lead specialising in the design and delivery of high-voltage primary systems for transmission and distribution infrastructure projects. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through all project phases, from concept and detailed design to construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities
Led the engineering and delivery of HV primary systems across complex infrastructure projects.
Coordinated multidisciplinary teams, including primary, protection & control, civil, and commissioning engineers.
Developed and reviewed substation layouts, equipment arrangements, busbar configurations, and HV cable system design.
Ensured engineering solutions complied with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications while delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient outcome.
Performed technical reviews, design verification, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to optimise performance and lifecycle value.
Supported power system studies and ensured effective integration between primary plant, protection systems, and network requirements.
Provided technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams on complex HV primary engineering challenges.
Collaborated with clients, contractors, project managers, and key stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Delivered engineering support throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
