As Technical Configuration & Supplier Manager, you ensure the integrity, traceability, and compliance of crane automation configurations across their full lifecycle. In addition, you serve as a technical focal point towards key third-party suppliers, ensuring that externally supplied subsystems are correctly specified for harbor cranes, version controlled, documented, and compliant before they are integrated into Siemens crane solutions.
You operate at the intersection of sales, engineering, cybersecurity, quality, and procurement, enabling reliable and compliant deliveries to customers worldwide. In this role, you ensure that projects are built on a standardized foundation and support lead engineers, allowing them to focus on the technical aspects of their projects. While our 'discipline leads' govern standardization within their domains, the Technical Configuration & Supplier Manager will control the use of externally supplied subsystems.
In addition, you will drive implementation of the necessary conditions to fulfill the upcoming CRA requirements and you will facilitate all teams by providing tools & methods to support configuration management.
You are someone who thrives on bringing structure and control to complex technical environments. While others focus on designing, programming, or delivering projects, you ensure that systems, suppliers, software versions, and technical documentation remain well-governed, traceable, and compliant. You are analytical by nature, highly organized, and motivated by improving processes and driving consistency across projects. At the same time, you are a strong communicator who can confidently engage with engineers, suppliers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
You ask the right questions, think ahead, and proactively identify risks related to changes, compliance, and lifecycle management. With your technical curiosity and attention to detail, you enable teams around the world to deliver reliable, compliant, and future-proof crane automation solutions.

Drive standardization of externally supplied subsystems (e.g. laser & camera systems and software solutions)
Manage obsolescence and compatibility risks for new and delivered projects
Assess the impact of supplier and software changes on projects and installed base
2. Technical Interface to Third-Party Suppliers
Propose products and subsystems based on functional and technical requirements and act as a technical filter between supplier offerings and engineering needs
Ensure supplier deliverables are technically consistent with Siemens architecture and correctly versioned and documented
Review and assess supplier changes, releases, and lifecycle information
Ensure license compliance across projects and deliveries and align licensing topics with suppliers, engineering, and procurement
Monitor technical developments and keep the cranes team updated
3. CRA:
Certification & Compliance Support
Support Crane systems compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) through controlled configuration and traceability
