Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentatie

Responsibilities   As a Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer in the industrial sector, you will be part of one of our industrial teams, consisting of approximately 10 to 15 colleagues.
Within these teams, junior, medior and senior colleagues work closely together on multidisciplinary projects for industrial clients in the new energy, chemical and food sectors. Our core business is project management, consultancy and multidisciplinary engineering for new-build and replacement projects.
Examples include projects involving electric steam boilers, reducing steam consumption through Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR), and expanding electrical infrastructure to support further electrification.
You will work in a hybrid environment: regularly from the office with your team, occasionally at the client’s plant, and from home whenever the nature of the work allows.
As a Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in a wide range of mono- and multidisciplinary projects. You translate client requirements, specifications and functional requirements into smart technical designs and are involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept and design through to implementation and commissioning.
You advise clients, prepare (partial) budgets and project schedules, and monitor the technical quality and progress of projects. Working closely with engineers, designers and technical specialists, you ensure optimal coordination within the project team. Taking ownership, you are responsible for the reporting, communication and coordination of your projects and actively maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and fellow specialists within and outside Sweco.
In this role, you will make a direct contribution to innovative and successful project results.
Requirements   A relevant completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a background in Electrical Engineering
At least 10 years of experience as an engineer, preferably gained in an industrial environment
Demonstrable practical, hands-on field experience
A high level of ownership and a strong customer-oriented mindset
