For an innovative international semiconductor company developing advanced solutions for the automotive and industrial electronics markets, we are looking for an experienced DFT Engineer. The organization is renowned for its cutting-edge chip development, strong R&D culture, and focus on delivering high‑quality semiconductor solutions that power next‑generation technologies worldwide.

Netherlands or abroad
Full‑time (40 hours per week)
100% Remote, Hybrid, or On‑site possible
Freelance/ZZP and Temporary/ Temp‑to‑Perm opportunities available
The Role As a DFT Engineer , you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing advanced semiconductor products for demanding industrial and automotive applications. You will play a key role in ensuring the testability, quality, and manufacturability of complex integrated circuits.
Key Responsibilities Develop and define DFT (Design for Test) specifications based on product test strategies and DfX requirements .
Implement and verify advanced DFT structures within complex chip designs.
Generate, optimize, and validate ATPG test patterns .
Support ATE bring-up and manufacturing test development.
Contribute to the development of innovative DFT methodologies , test strategies, and best practices.
Deliver project milestones and documentation according to quality and timing requirements.
Work closely with design, verification, and production teams throughout the development cycle.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant DFT experience .
Proven experience within the semiconductor industry is a must .
Strong knowledge of:
Scan
ATPG
BIST
JTAG
Experience with DFT/ATPG tools such as Tessent .
Good understanding of VHDL , Verilog , and/or System Verilog .
Basic scripting experience (e.g. Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell).
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands‑on mindset.
Nice to Have
Experience with mixed-signal designs .
Knowledge of automotive semiconductor development processes.
Experience working in cross-functional international engineering teams.
