About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established engineering and construction organisation specialising in complex steel structures and commercial building projects. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to engage an experienced Lead / Senior Tekla Design Engineer to support the delivery of high-profile steel construction projects.
This role would suit a hands‑on Tekla specialist who can take ownership of detailed design activities while providing technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and manage detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures .
Lead the design and detailing of structural steel building projects.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams.
Review and validate detailed drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Identify and resolve design and constructability issues.
Support project planning and delivery by ensuring design milestones are met.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior detailers and engineers where required.
Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders on technical matters.
Requirements
Extensive experience using Tekla Structures within the steel construction industry.
Strong background in structural steel building construction .
Proven experience delivering detailed steelwork models and fabrication drawings.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Previous experience in a lead or senior-level detailing/design position.
Preferred
Dutch-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
Experience working on industrial, commercial, or large-scale steel building projects.
Knowledge of European and Dutch construction standards.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
