We are looking for an experienced Senior Pipe Stress Engineer to help lead pipe stress activities within multidisciplinary engineering projects, including analysis, reviews and technical coordination. EPC process industry / oil & gas / refining / petrochemicals.
The role also involves reviewing subcontractor/vendor work, and supporting engineering standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pipe stress and flexibility calculations, including piping support requirements.
Review technical calculations, piping models, isometrics and vendor/subcontractor deliverables.
Coordinate pipe stress requirements with piping, mechanical, civil, furnace and other engineering disciplines.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to Pipe Stress Engineers and support customer interfaces.
Support project planning, technical documentation, engineering standards and quality assurance.
Requirements
BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant pipe stress engineering experience.
Strong practical knowledge of international pipe stress and piping standards, including:
ASME, EN, API, ASTM and PED requirements.
Experience with pipe stress calculation software, preferably Caesar II.
Experience with high-alloy piping systems operating at high temperatures and in creep conditions.
EPC process industry / oil & gas / refining / petrochemicals.
Ability to review and challenge engineering work produced by subcontractors and third parties.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
Comfortable working within multidisciplinary engineering teams and taking a senior technical role.
