Software Architect - Platform & Apps

Beatgrid is redefining cross-media measurement with breakthrough deep-tech innovation. Built on our own Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology, the world's only hybrid of audio fingerprinting and watermarking, we provide deterministic, privacy-first insights that reveal true ad effectiveness across TV and digital platforms like Netflix and You Tube.

As a Software Architect, you'll play a key role in designing and evolving the technology behind our measurement platform and applications. You'll work hands-on across the full solution, from designing software architecture and server-side development through APIs and security layers to the multiplatform and native Android/iOS applications, bringing features through to production.

• Design and deploy software architecture across Beatgrid's platform and mobile applications, translating product requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Work hands-on across the full technology stack, including backend and platform services, APIs, databases and mobile applications.
• Own features end-to-end, from requirements and domain modelling through architectural design, backend implementation, mobile development, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Own the connection between the platform and mobile applications, from backend services and APIs through to Android and iOS apps.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with a focus on clean architecture, security, scalability, performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to Android and iOS development using Kotlin, Swift and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Work closely with the CTO, Chief Architect and engineering teams to make architectural decisions and establish technical direction.
• Use modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and improve software quality.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, CI/CD and production support.

Strong experience in software architecture, system design and domain modelling; strong backend engineering experience (ideally Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot); experience across Android/iOS development; experience with automated testing, CI/CD and code reviews.
