As our Technical Superintendent, you're ready to take full responsibility for a fleet and make a serious impact—from dry dock to deck plate. If you're passionate about ship performance, safety, and smart operations, you'll thrive here.
Key Responsibilities
In this key position, you'll be the driving force behind the technical performance, maintenance, and operational readiness of several offshore vessels. You'll balance efficiency with excellence-making making sure ships are safe, certified, and always ready to go.
Working cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, crewing, QHSE, finance, and IT, you'll be the link between our teams and external partners like class societies, shipyards, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with flag, class, and certification requirements
Lead maintenance using our CMMS system in collaboration with crew
Monitor vessel condition, report deficiencies, and drive technical improvements
Own the budget and cost control for maintenance, repairs, and dry docks
Plan and attend dry dockings and technical stops
Keep safety front and center by applying and promoting Jifmar Group QHSE policies
Visit each vessel at least twice a year and issue inspection reports
Support technical aspects of new builds and second-hand acquisitions
Profil
Qualifications & Experience
A Degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience as 1st or 2nd Engineer on offshore vessels-or ship repair background
Solid understanding of diesel engines, electrics and hydraulics, and onboard systems
Familiar with ISM Code and Planned Maintenance Systems
Self‑motivated and driven to succeed, holding a positive and professional attitude within the workplace environment
Fluent in Dutch and English (German is an advantage), with strong communication and teamwork skills
Strong planning and organization skills, cost aware and proactive
Ready for frequent travelling and working abroad.
Comfortable working across cultures and time zones

Den Helder (The Netherlands)
Salary range: € 5000,- to € 6500,- gross a month, negotiable based on experience
