Role Overview

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAMHS practitioner to join the CAMHS early help team as a Family Wellbeing Practitioner working in a cluster of primary care GP surgeries in Denbighshire.

The postholder will possess the passion and necessary skills required for delivering early intervention and prevention to children, young people and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide training and consultation to primary care practitioners.
  • Offer direct advice, signposting and brief intervention to children and young people presenting with concerns about emotional wellbeing.
  • Work as part of the wider CAMHS Early Help service to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Align with the CAMHS Early Help team and local CAMHS team, developing and maintaining a close relationship with the CAMHS SPoA, assessment team, and broader CAMHS MDT.
Qualifications
  • Substantial knowledge in child and adolescent development and early intervention and prevention strategies to improve emotional wellbeing.
  • Well developed assessment and formulation skills.
  • Ability to provide both broad and specific advice in relation to emotional health and wellbeing in children and mental health and developmental disorders.
