We have a vacancy within our CALDS ( Child & adolescent learning disability service) based in Denbigh.
The successful candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary health team, providing support to children 5-18yrs with social communication difficulties, learning disabilities & complex health needs.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will assist in the provision of child assessment and further interventions for children within a variety of different community settings. You will provide support to children and families using a holistic approach and support children and their families with hospital appointments and provide desensitisation programmes. The post holder will work in collaboration with the community and acute teams to implement initiatives to effectively respond to the health needs of children and young people with learning disabilities and complex health needs, which include health promotion, health screening and access to health care services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 4 or BTEC Early Years or NNEB or equivalent level of relevant training/ education
- Any relevant formal training within the area of Children's Disabilities
- Working with Children/ families. Experience of supporting young people who challenge
- Prior experience of working in a community setting
- To have an understanding of child development
