POSITION OVERVIEWThe Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, treatment‑plan development, supervision of implementation, collaboration with caregivers, coaching of behavioral technicians, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager and are salaried, exempt, full‑time employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
- Develop and maintain treatment plans
- Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
- Evaluate patients to identify both skill deficits and strengths
- Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior
- Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
- Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
- Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols
- Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
- Primarily works physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation
- Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data
- Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response
- Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours
- Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers)
- Coordinate care with other professionals
- Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
- Include caregiver as part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent collaboration meetings
- Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner
- Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews)
- Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence
- Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills software and the patient’s medical record
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for all individuals
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times
- Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership, including Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator Technician, and Behavior Technician Leads
- Other duties as assigned
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field
- Certification as a behavior analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
