• Greet and assist customers promptly: approach and acknowledge customers and provide assistance while handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations; engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address issues using product knowledge to offer alternatives and aim to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to heights of 5-10 feet
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on sales floor
• Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone; exchange accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and stock rooms
• Work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel as required
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for extended periods as needed
