under the supervision of the instructor, the heating, air conditioning & refrigeration technology (hart) lab assistant provides technical assistance to students either in a classroom or laboratory setting and assists with teaching students according to established policies and procedures.

this is a part‑time position with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

• 55% provides group instruction and one‑on‑one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of skills.
• 35% assists students in the use of equipment.
• 5% keeps the lab clean and organized.
• 5% performs other duties as assigned.

• complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.

• high school diploma or ged required.
• aas or certificate in hart is required.
• one‑year work experience in a related field required.
• previous experience as a teacher or lab assistant is preferred.
