under the supervision of the instructor, the heating, air conditioning & refrigeration technology (hart) lab assistant provides technical assistance to students either in a classroom or laboratory setting and assists with teaching students according to established policies and procedures.

this is a part-time position with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

55% provides group instruction and one-on-one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of skills.

35% assists students in the use of equipment.

5% keeps the lab clean and organized.

5% performs other duties as assigned.

aas or certificate in hart is required.

one-year work experience in a related field required.

previous experience as a teacher or lab assistant is preferred.
