Position Summary
Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, the Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) carries out each assigned patient’s plan of care utilizing therapeutic modalities and techniques, completes documentation, and communicates with the supervising therapist and team members on a timely basis.
Responsibilities- Carry out each assigned patient’s established plan of care under the guidance of an occupational therapist.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities and techniques to achieve therapy goals.
- Complete documentation related to care provided.
- Communicate with supervising therapist and team members in a timely manner.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensed by the State of Texas or eligible to sit for the exam.
- Completed Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider course before orientation.
- General knowledge of therapy skills and competencies.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to commute between facilities in a timely manner.
