PositionSummary
A staff speech‑language pathologist provides prevention, evaluation, diagnoses, and intervention for speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders to patients across a life span. The role also includes clinical supervision for students, clinical fellows, and support staff for the provision of care.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in speech pathology or equivalent, or graduate of an accredited speech‑language pathology program.
- 1‑3 years of hospital experience is highly preferred.
- Current Texas State License in Speech‑Language Pathology and holds CCC from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of advanced therapy skills and competencies. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal relationship skills. Basic computer skills.
