Position SummaryWorks under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates, provides direct care with limited invasive procedures, and handles other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Assist licensed nurses in delivering patient care and support daily care tasks.
- Provide direct non‑invasive patient care and monitor patient conditions.
- Report patient welfare, safety, and security to the registered nurse.
- Reading and numerical competence; must possess competency in the use of technology and computers.
- Previous caregiving experience preferred; must demonstrate basic caregiving skills and essential job functions.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course required. All Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) courses will be provided during orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete “Handle with Care” within 6 months of hire/transfer and annually thereafter.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for the age of the patients served and report patient conditions to the RN.
