Waitstaff Assistant

Essential Functions

• Takes customer food and drink orders and relays them to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Greets and seats customers, presents menus, and answers questions about menu items.
• Serves food and drinks to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Processes customer payments and makes change accordingly.
• Checks on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Handles customer complaints and/or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Performs side work duties such as setting up and cleaning tables, restocking supplies, and polishing silverware.
• Attends team meetings as required.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.

• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Requires excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous Waitstaff experience or a similar role is preferred. Banquet experience is a plus.
• Requires knowledge of food and beverage service industry standards and practices.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

• Food Handler’s certification valid in Grayson County is required upon hire.
• TABC certification is required upon hire.
