The Accounting & Tax Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and tax compliance of the company. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role ensures accurate financial records, timely statutory reporting, and effective coordination with the company's external tax consultant. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of both accounting and Indonesian taxation, is detail-oriented, and is able to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Senior Accountant in managing the company's day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.
Prepare tax calculations and supporting documentation and coordinate with the company's external tax consultant to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.
Monitor compliance with Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Liaise with internal departments to obtain documentation and resolve accounting and tax-related matters.
Support internal and external audits by preparing the required financial information and documentation.
Maintain organised accounting records and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Perform other accounting, tax, and finance-related duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Accounting Manager.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
Good understanding of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) and Indonesian tax regulations.
Experience coordinating with external tax consultants or public accounting firms is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Accurate, Quick Books, or similar).
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in property, real estate, or technology companies is an advantage.
Familiarity with e-Faktur, e-Bupot, Coretax, and other Indonesian tax reporting systems.
Brevet A & B certification is preferred.
Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
