The Teaching Assistant role is a full time, on-site position based in Cemagi, Bali. The Teaching Assistant supports lead educators in implementing nature-based, Reggio-inspired learning activities, helping to prepare materials, organize classroom spaces, and assist with daily routines. Responsibilities include guiding children in small group and individual activities, offering support with early mathematics and foundational learning, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
The role also involves observing children’s engagement, communicating with the teaching team about individual needs, and collaborating to create a nurturing atmosphere that aligns with the center’s values.
- Experience in assistant teaching and classroom support, with the ability to follow educational plans and collaborate with lead teachers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with children, families, and colleagues.
- Background or coursework in education or early childhood development, with an understanding of play-based and Reggio-inspired learning.
- Comfort supporting early mathematics activities and basic learning tasks in a preschool setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with children in group settings, with patience, empathy, and positive behavior guidance.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment, including indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
- Reliability in a part-time schedule and willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Relevant certificates in early childhood education or childcare are an advantage.
