Position: Program Coordinator - Center for Women in Government

Program Coordinator – Center for Women Entrepreneurs Job Summary

Responsible administrative duties for the CWE. Supports the program director and participates in center events. Handles marketing, social media, scheduling for the podcast room. Work performed under general supervision; performance is evaluated on assignment completion and results.

Essential Duties
  • Creates social media content using Canva.
  • Skilled at scheduling, posting and community engagement.
  • Handles event management and creation.
  • Develops engaging, original content.
  • Coordinates logistics for hybrid and in‑person events.
  • Identifies and collaborates with speakers.
  • Sets up meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Updates events, clients, grant winners, and contacts into CRM.
  • Strong writing and editing skills; maintains consistent brand messaging.
  • Maintains good public relations.
  • Answers incoming phone calls.
  • Assists with event registration and attendee communication.
  • Coordinates catering orders and room reservations.
  • Maintains event calendars and sends meeting reminders.
  • Assists with event logistics and cleanup.
  • Supports workshops and training sessions.
  • Enters basic information into databases and tracking systems.
  • Maintains accurate records of program participants and activities.
  • Updates contact lists and mailing databases.
  • Ensures support services are provided to the program and community.
  • Anticipates needs of the program and develops recommendations.
Additional Duties
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Uses various social media platforms (Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube).
  • Works under pressure and autonomously.
  • Provides administrative guidance within the area of responsibility, including direct training and supervision as needed.
  • Communicates effectively— orally, by phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Handles multiple projects.
  • Is familiar with entrepreneurship development.
  • Provides attention to detail.
  • Has working knowledge of office practices and methods.
  • Familiar with Eventbrite, Constant Contact, Canva platforms.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with management, clients, faculty, staff, students, and the public.
  • Has excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Knows modern program administration practices, methods, resources, and standards.
  • Organizes work effectively, conceptualizes and prioritizes objectives, and exercises independent judgment based on organizational policies and activities.
  • Uses a personal computer and other office equipment, including university software and email.
Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree in an area generally related to program content, marketing, or business. Additional job‑related experience or education may substitute for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.

Experience

Two years of experience in content creation, marketing, podcasting, or social media.

Requirements
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the University during scheduled days and work hours.
