Department Summary
The College of Science at the University of North Texas consists of the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and the interdisciplinary programs Teach North Texas, Bio Discovery Institute, Advanced Environmental Research Institute, and Interdisciplinary Program in Applied and Computational Science. The college offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees in science and mathematics, currently serving more than 4,000 majors.
Our faculty are world-class researchers in science and mathematics, and the college faculty and staff work together to provide excellent support to our students in their academic education and professional development.

Position Overview
The College of Science Department of Student Services seeks qualified individuals for its COS 1100 Science Success Seminar Adjunct Instructor pool. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters. The specific course sections offered may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these sections develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The COS 1100 Science Success Seminar is a one-credit-hour first-year seminar course for incoming College of Science students.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s Degree. Experience advising or teaching college students
Preferred Qualifications
UNT academic advising or student service experience.
